31/08/2010 The Oaks Garden Competition

Three young residents from The Oaks in St Leonards On Sea have proved have they green fingers by winning a local gardening competition.

Brandon Goldsmith (10) and his sister Courtney (12) came first and third respectively with neighbour Cody Lower (12) coming second.

Brandon said: “I did some gardening at school and really like it so now do it at home too.”

Brandon favours growing fruit and has a fine crop of strawberries just about the bloom with sister Courtney and neighbour Cody liking to brighten up the street with vibrant flower displays.

All received vouchers which they are planning to spend on more plants for their gardens.
