  Onwards and upwards

In May last year Orbit South underwent an audit commission inspection of services. Since then we have been very busy following up on a wide range of recommendations from the inspectors on how we can further improve our services to you. We are making good progress in delivering on the action plan that the inspectors presented as you will see from a number of articles in the latest edition of In 2 Orbit.
 
In particular, and in full consultation with residents, we are about to re-launch the Orbit South Services Standards which set out the levels and quality of services that you can expect from us. We have gone through a major organisational restructuring which will help staff be more effective in delivering front line services to you. Having undertaken an analysis of the information that we have about our residents, we will be writing out to those of you where we have missing information in the next month asking that you complete a questionnaire to fill in the gaps. The purpose behind this is to ensure that we have good and relevant information about people living in orbit homes so that we can ensure that we offer the best services possible to meet your needs and aspirations.
 
We have also begun from this Spring edition of In 2 Orbit to provide information about our performance in delivering services. There is also an article telling you where we have learnt from some of the complaints that we have received, ensuring that we don’t make the same mistake twice. 

Overall, our aim is to become an organisation that you as well as we can feel proud of – one that aims to achieve excellence in providing services to its customers. You can help us with this ambition by telling us where you think we can further improve our services through the various methods of involvement and feedback that are referred to throughout you newsletter.
