Orbit South is a 'one star’ organisation with promising prospects for improvement.
In May 2008 the Audit Commission carried out an inspection of tenancy management services in Orbit South. Their independent report was published in August 2008 and awarded the organisation one star, with promising prospects for improvement.
We consider this to be a fair and acceptable outcome given the timing on the inspection. The Commission recognised the significant achievement of creating Orbit South through the merger of TCHA, OBHA and OHA (South) last October. They concluded that we are now in a strong position to deliver further improvements that will benefit our residents.
The report identifies that the successful merger demonstrated effective leadership, managerial ability and planning. It adds that we have a positive culture and morale within our organisation, we learn from our experiences and use this effectively for further development.
